A Green Guide to Amsterdam

Amsterdam radiates an electric energy that can be felt even by those who pass through for a brief visit – it might have something to do with the dizzying amount of bicycles that race through the city at any given moment. Add to the chorus the insistent ringing bells of the trams and the honks of the tourist boats in the canals and it’s quite an overwhelming experience. And still, it’s easy to get (welcomingly) lost in the city’s small streets. The famous canal belt is something out of a movie; the crooked facades of the 17th-century buildings are so imperfectly perfect that it’s hard to believe they’re actually real. In a city like this, it’s about finding the beauty in the chaos.

So I put together a guide for Pathport with no less than 20 green places in the city when you’re in need of a quiet escape from the crowds. I hope they’ll help you to fall in love with Amsterdam (again).
